# Minting aaaBTC

Minting is the process of "creating" aaaBTC by depositing other Bitcoin-backed assets. Our platform makes this easy, safe, and available across multiple chains.

#### One-Click Minting

You can mint aaaBTC using popular assets like:

* **WBTC** (Wrapped Bitcoin)
* **cbBTC** (Coinbase BTC)
* **BTCB** (Binance BTC)

#### Cross-Chain Minting (Powered by BOB SDK)

Thanks to our integration with the **BOB Gateway SDK**, you can mint aaaBTC even if your source assets are on a different blockchain.

* **Example**: You have WBTC on Ethereum, but you want aaaBTC on Base.
* **Process**: Our system bridges your assets and mints the aaaBTC in a single transaction.
* **Supported Chains**: Ethereum, Base, BSC, BOB, Arbitrum, and World Chain.

#### Security First

* **1:1 Backing**: Every aaaBTC is minted only when the corresponding BTC/WBTC is locked in our minter contracts.
* **Non-Custodial**: You always maintain control of your assets. We never have access to your private keys.
* **Audited SDK**: We use the BOB SDK, a industry standard for Bitcoin-to-EVM bridging.

#### How to Mint

1. Select your **Source Network** and the asset you want to use.
2. Select your **Receive Network** (where you want your aaaBTC).
3. Enter the amount and click **Mint**.
4. Your aaaBTC will arrive in your wallet shortly!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://assetux.gitbook.io/assetux/whitepaper/what-is-aaabtc/minting-aaabtc.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
